Skeletons: Revenant
22/09/13 || Cobal
This is exactly what I was looking for: more amateur mid-paced black metal in the form of a bunch of simple riffs and nule songwriting!
Sarcastic remarks aside, I have nothing against it. Really. Matter of fact, I appreciate the simplicity of the ideas and how this guy gets to actually create an effective and enjoyable metal atmosphere by linking together a series of modest guitar riffs. Modest but well-assembled and written that is.
I can’t award “Revenant” for its originality, level of composition or advanced technique, but, hey: At least they do keep it real, uh?
6/10: Straightforward and honest.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
