Sevenfield: Apperception
08/12/11 || gk
Norway’s Sevenfield play incredibly dumb metalcore and “Apperception” is their debut album. It’s like the band heard Lamb of God, Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage and then decided to form a band that sounded just like those three bands. If you’ve heard the three bands I mentioned above then you’ve heard everything on this album before right down to individual riffs, breakdowns and vocal melodies. This has to be some of the most bland and tepid music I’ve heard in a long while and there is no reason for Sevenfield to exist. I don’t see even fans of this sort of music picking up on this band because they’re completely bereft of ideas. Sitting through these ten songs was an almighty chore and I am simply unable to find any redeeming qualities whatsoever. In fact, the more I listen to this, the more angry I’m getting. This shit is killing my buzz. Avoid like the plague.
1/10 and with no redeeming features whatsoever
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
