Nethermost: Alpha
20/08/13 || Cobal
Nethermost is a doom outfit hailing from South Texas and “Alpha” their debut EP released last year. I don’t know about you, but I thought the doom/goth fever from the 90’s and part of the 00’s was long gone. I have nothing against it, but come on! We’ve listened to this before and in much better shape.
Mid-paced songs with nule riffs and simpleton drumming lead only by a single not-that-bad guitar melody is not good enough to me. Even more, the 4 fucken songs sound exactly the same! And no, vocals don’t add up much for this damn thing. Oh, just gimme a break.
2/10: That’s for one meh song repeated 4 times on the same record.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
