Leperton: Leperton
06/10/13 || Cobal
Not only do I not understand the term, but I fucken hate it: post-rock. What the fuck is that? Now, that I fucken despise it, doesn’t mean I can’t actually identify the music style that’s associated to it. Now, given its atmospheric nature, many black metal acts out there have figured it’s a good idea to fuse it with their own music, and some of them have actually got good results. This is not the case.
As I’ve repeatedly stated before, there’s no good in fusion music — regardless the genres — if you don’t get to integrate your shit well. Exactly Leperton’s problem if you ask me. Even if the sweetest parts sound pretty good, the unjustified switch to generic raw black metal passages is completely off-putting. Even more, while not offensive, the vocals really need improving. They get to sound rather out of tune every now and then.
4/10: You know there’s something wrong when you forgot every song after having listened to a record more than twice.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
