Euclidean: Demo
28/12/12 || Cobal
Euclidean play a doomy form of black metal that at first sight, seemed quite generic to me. After a second listen, I realized even though this first demo of them wasn’t precisely an innovative one, it did show some interesting features. Its sound is thick, heavy and slow, and you can bet your ass it’s mesmerizing at a certain level. I dunno if these guys are gonna appreciate my remark, but at some point, they even reminded me of some Burzum’s old tracks gone sci-fi; as though they had been freshened up if you like. Some may say remastered. Not bad for a demo.
6/10: I still have no fucken idea of what post-black metal means.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
