Demo(n)s
Erodead: 2004

After reading one of the worst biographies in my life, I can’t say I had high hopes for this demo… But for a change I was happily surprised. At least these guys are a lot better than their biography, not that it’s a hard thing to accomplish. Think small Entombed influences and some rock-ish grooves. Add some decent half-growls to that. Put in some salt and pepper. Wait, hold on here…
Entombed influences. Let’s carry on from there.
They’ve definitely heard The Tomb – you’d have to be Mike Poggione to miss out on that. But they don’t sound like Entombed overall, they just used their influences in a good way and managed to actually create something that sounds pretty goddamn, not original, but “own”. I think the rock’n’roll vibes are to blame. I enjoy this for some reason, and I’m not even going to try to find out what it is. Erodead just flows very well and I think they would do really well on an album when it’s time for one of those. But before that happens I think they better change that name, becoz Erodead is as excellent as putting your cock in an aquarium full of piranhas.
I can’t say too much about this really, I’m impressed though. These guys are nothing what I expected (thanx Mr. Biography) and I suggest that you guys check these fuckers out. They are worth it for sure. Mail them and crave a copy of the demo at:
