Crepusculum: Illuminatus

Lo and behold, Polish black metal, for you to spice up your life with. And if you think something like “hmm, Polish black metal, guess how this band sounds…” you’re most likely right. While listening to this band it is hard not to compare with other comrades from the same area and one can hear a similarity or two from a band like for instance Behemoth. But Crepusculum has it own sound and nicely delivered vocals (with the characteristic pronunciation).
This is not the most trve cvlt record out there and it is relatively easy listened for being black metal, but don’t take this as something negative in this case, because what we got here are good riffs that would fit in many metal genres if it wasn’t for the tiny tweak to get that guitar sound of the Devil and celebration of enlightenment.
One of the tracks that stands out the most is Xepera-Xeper-Xeperu with its rather modern sound, working as a fresh breeze between your legs and balls.. Another fine piece of darkness is Via Sinistra.
So during this time of the year when the weather is rarely any other color than gray, why not put on that ol’ good record of sulfur and sodomy, or try something new, like Illuminatus. This record is not the best one in the world, but a pleasant one which again shows that Poland is a good country in terms of blasphemy and whatnot! Some tracks are a bit boring and should’ve been skipped or worked on more to improve this album as a whole, but sometimes you can’t get it all, except me, I always get it all (not the cock though).
